The only scion of the Kolapsch-Eckernferde's, itself a distant branch of the great Kolapsch Dynasty, a family with some claims to importance upon the Hive World of Auremedia whose extensive trade interests and military fame made it a close associate with the famed Rogue Trader House of Arenberg; not least did this connection form from Kolapsch-Eckernferde's control over docks and manufactoriums that supplied the ships of Arenberg with cargos and repairs. The match between Frida Gallia to Mikhael Arenberg IV, the scion of the House, was reputed to be a lynch pin to hold the profitable alliance between the House together for the next generation. House Arenberg itself was in a sort of decline in those days; its best routes had dried up and luck had deserted them at points which reduced their fortunes. Almost to cement the decline of the House, that disease which had been hidden under the layers of past glories and not inconsiderable ventures of trade, was the death of Nikolas II, the much hoped for and longed for successor to the Emperor-given Marque, under circumstances that satisfied nobody brought into the forefront of the more unpopular Mikhael.
