PRAYER is an incredible power, a science which would to those even a few millennia ago seem like magic. Using PRAYER, a person reaches across the ephemeral gaps that separate universes and pulls energy and information from one to the other. Through this means they create an effect, seeming to defy physics, or change it to their whim.

The precise nature of these effects varies from user to user. Indeed, the form of a PRAYER's manifestation is as varied as the number of those who employ PRAYER. Each user appears to access a different universe or universes to draw their information and power from. Current physics suggests there is an almost infinite number of these universes, so it is likely no two PRAYER users will ever have the same powers, and each is eternally unique.

Rules

Concept

The first thing you must define as a PRAYER user is, in one Paragraph or so, what exactly your powers do. A fireball throwing mage is likely to be very different from a time shifting knight or someone with control of electronic systems. Your concept will ultimately define what you can do with your PRAYER

Connection

The basic statistic of PRAYER is Connection. How strongly a PRAYER user can connect to their source of power. Each point of the PRAYER advantage provides 5 points of connection. Connection is used in two ways. First, one point of connection is needed to activate PRAYER powers for one encounter. Beyond that, each use of PRAYER requires one point of connection for each point of the highest level facet involved. One additional facet is required for any PRAYER that is more than instant.

Additionally, a point of connection maybe used to modify the success number on any dice in a PRAYER roll up or down by one.

Facets

Facets are the different parts of a power. You may begin play with a maximum of three facets. Facets are bought in the same way as normal attributes but they cost three times as much per level.

Facet Levels

Level 1: Small scale personal effects (lifting a small rock)
Level 2: Small scale external effects (pulling a rabbit out of a hat)
Level 3: Significant personal effects (Air Dash)
Level 4: Significant external effects (FIREBALL!)
Level 5: Major Personal Effects (Human Torch)
Level 6: Major External Effects (Control Weather)
Level 7: Large Personal Effects (I'm a Dragon!)
Level 8: Large External Effects (Meteor Swarm)
Level 9: Massive Personal Effects (Timestop)
Level 10: Massive External Effects (Pull Down a battleship)

Celeration

Increase or decrease the flow of things

Causation

Affect the likelyhood of things

Distance

Affect how close or far something is

Kinesis

Move something

Mind

Affect someone's inner thoughts and worlds

Find out something about the world around you.
