Background

The House of Aleida has held very substantial land holdings for at least two and a half centuries. They were distantly related to the Imperial House of Corinn via an ancestor who was an acknowledged but illegitimate son of a previous emperor. As they were Terion rather than Gamilon, never held political stature commeasurate with their wealth. This situation did not substantially change during the era of Desslok, whom they supported. The last head of the house was Admiral Alazar zar Aleida who died in action at the Battle of Sommewurth.

The Aleida Monarchy is the total lands across Nepthys and Osiris to which the Prince of Aleida is legally heir. It is a major Belkar successor, but not really a state so much as the sum of shards from a shattered glass that by happenstance devolve to a single princely monarch – if he takes his crown. Prince Gares zel Aleida is rumored to be attending a foreign school overseas under an assumed identity and has thus far demonstrated no interest in much besides student council vice chairmanship and womanizing.

Culture

All races and numerous cultures fall into Aleida holdings. The core territories, the court and the princely family's heritage are traditionally Belkan.
