Concept: Hacker prodigy and ninja martial artist.
Bio: Laurence's parents were servants of some sort of blood cult in the service of powerful but unknown creatures. While he was raised fairly normally, he was also taught of the impermanence of all things, and how one must offer up some sort of sacrifice if one is to advance in the world.

When it came time for his full initiation into the cult at the age of 14, his parents decided that his girlfriend at the time would make a suitable sacrifice. Faced with being forced to kill the target of his affections, Laurence did what most children of the modern world would do: he went onto an internet forum and posted about it, asking advice.

While his post was largely ridiculed, or treated as a thought experiment by some- it was also seen by the right people, whom decided to investigate.

Fast forward to a week later, and his parents have gathered the cult for his initiation, and even taken the time to acquire the chosen sacrifice... and then a shitload of ninjas burst in through the skylights and started shooting everyone.
