Independent-specific rules
Independent worlds are a varied lot and consequently they have a more modular approach to applications. All Indies get the Universal applications, however, depending on their 'Focus' they can select from a variety of additional applications.
Foci have two sets of applications.
- Automatic applications are those that are always gained via a focus.
- Discretionary applications are those that can be bought via the pool of discretionary application points that are associated with each history path choice. The cost of a given discretionary app will be in brackets next to it. Furthermore, Discretionary applications can be bought with national application points gained from history paths at the listed price here, irregardless of tech level or lack thereof.
- For situations where multiple options for progressive applications are listed (eg Mecha Construction II and Mecha Construction III), only one needs to be chosen. All costs are cumulative and include lower levels.
