As an Orphan, Kana practices a brand of magic that is uniquely her own. It is as yet informal and unsystemised, though Kana accepts that there ''is'' a system waiting to be articulated to herself and others. Simply put, she hasn't had the time to think deeply about it and lacks the formal education (being technically a high school dropout) to really write it out as an academic paper. Ultimately, it does not matter very much - the right thing to do will come to you, and barring that, just go watch ''x''.

Through interaction with proper Tradition mages (including chantrymates) and time spent in Tradition horizon realms such as the Pharos of Abkazia, Sasayama, and Victoria Station, Kana has become vaguely aware of how the nine traditions distinguish themselves and the nine spheres of magic. Her own paradigm does not recognise the spheres as somehow metaphysically discrete, nor the specific practices of any of the Traditions as particularly complete. A mage of a given tradition is simply a willworker who belongs to her organisation - an organisation that has become comfortable in willworking in one specific way.

A Multi-Tradition mage should be perfectly permissable and Kana finds it mildly surprising that more don't exist.
