ZOCU dress uniforms

Londinium officer's uniform. Shoulder armor is distinctive to combat frame pilots

Being primarily defended by national forces from Earth, most ZOCU worlds had no military tradition until the Breakdown and the founding of ZOCU in the early 2160s. Due to this isolation and a conscious desire to not copy the military traditions of Earth, entirely new dress uniforms were designed. While some worlds went with their own local uniforms, the majority of ZOCU worlds went with an outfit heavily influenced by Londinium fashion aesthetics, with a specific color chosen unique to each world, making any international meeting of ZOCU soldiers a decidedly colorful event.

Like ZOCU uniforms, ZOCU flight suits are typically of the pilot's national color, though 'International' units tend to use the ZOCU Unified Militia color scheme. Constructed out of multilayer spacesuit fabric, pilot suits are form-fitting and capable of protecting the wearer against vaccum, though they do not come with a large oxygen supply and not rated for long-term exposure to radiation.

Most Magnate militaries were and to some extent are, quite distinctive but during the Magnate war a unified command structure was made for Joint operations which has resulted in standarised uniforms across all Continuum worlds. Following ZOCU's lead, each world has it's own colour, though the overall uniforms remain black throughout.
