And our excuse sucks.

Revision as of 00:53, 13 October 2008

Firebase Rumsfeld should have SAM tanks/striders and ODGs ready to be set up as soon as the transports touch down; ground defense units can dig in and mecha can be based there much more easily than air defenses can be quickly built. Also, it will alleviate strain on the fabbers. -Zeke

The idea is that the fleet provides orbital security until the +1 AA +1 range +1 armor, -2 immobile AA batts and +1 range +1 firepower -2 immobile orbital defense guns get set up. Anti-invasion security will be provided by an elite infantry battalion and a handful of regulars.

You might want to look into using TL2 units for Counter-insurgency and security work on Vajeya. Counter insurgency is a slot-free cap, after all. +2 AI +1 Security / Co-in could work. Use your awesomecool TL4 deathmachines for the kinetic operations. --OmegaPaladin 07:54, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

Already planned for. I think the idea was T-800 knockoffs with +2 AI, +1 armor, and +1 riot control adaptation or something, since that way losing a bunch wouldn't matter, and they'd be capable of beating up unarmed or lightly armed rioters well enough. --MJ12 Commando 08:18, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

The ESA protests this blatant imperialism, but is a little busy right now. --Peel 08:21, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
