Functional Concept
Units have a set of functional spaces:
- Weapons
- Protection
- Engineering
- Computers
- Misc
The number of spaces in each would depend on the base unit type, aptitudes, etc. Going over would cost extra. Different components may take up 1 or more spaces.
Equipment would be straightforward and represent what is mounted. For example:
- Flak (size 1W)
- Light Guns (size 1W)
- Medium Guns (size 3W)
- Heavy Guns (size 4W)
- Armor (size 1P)
- Deflectors (size 1P)
- Barriers (size 1P)
- Engines (varies by ship size, E)
- Enhanced FC (size 1C)
- Big Radar (size 3C)
- Hangars (size 3M)
