The Terran Federation is a multicultural limited franchise constitutional federal republic where-in only people who serve a minimum of two years of federal service are granted the right to vote, but are otherwise deprived of no rights or privilege. It was established by colonists who settled on a series of moons orbiting the ringed gas giant Heinlein, similar to the solar system planet Saturn.
