Stats
Population: Rank 3 (5)
- While not an incredibly populous nation, Maringon is by no means small. Named after the capital planet, the Maringon Cluster has an average population.
Transhumanism: Rank 2 (2)
- Almost the entirety of Maringon's population is "fixed" in-vitro, weeding out undesirable traits and genes such as those that tend towards a greater chance of obesity and cancer, and the average lifespan is 150.
Infrastructure: Rank 3+1 (3)
- Before the Nexus, Maringon was a minor naval power, having expanded their initial orbital elevator into an extensive orbital network. The experience from constructing the capital elevator has led to the construction of an elevator for every major planet within the Maringon star cluster, as well as constructing extensive zero-g construction facilities and asteroid mining.
Growth Potential: Rank 3 (3)
- Roughly speaking, most of the star systems within the cluster have been mapped, though less than half of them have even been touched.
Military Support: Rank 3 (3)
- The Federation has enough logistical support to keep it's now sorely needed navy running.
Space Fleet: Rank 3+1 (3)
- Maringon's lifeblood, the only way to protect its scattered planets and to now explore the Nexus and reach out to the other civilizations pulled into it.
Diplomacy: Rank 2 (2)
- While nothing exceptional, Maringon's civil service and diplomatic corps attempt to be as efficient as possible
Espionage: Rank 2 (2)
- Maringon has at-least a passable intelligence service
General Advancement: Rank 1 (4)
- Maringon has a an average level of technological advancement.
Unique Technologies: Rank 2 (3)
- Maringon's technology is mostly average, with nothing special except for the omnipresent psychoframes.
Emergent Technologies: Rank 1 (1)
- Common in Military use, Maringon produced both AI's and cybernetic parts.
Magic: Rank 3 (4)
- Arguably one of the most powerful assets in Maringon, the Church's Inquisition, which scouts, takes, and trains magic users, is pervasive and common in everyday life. Only extremely powerful magic users are trained by the Inquisition, with most inhabitants having the capability to cast basic spells. The Maringonese excel at fire and life magic, which it seems are the only magics that they are capable of doing at all. Common, also, are orders of shrine maidens, who are trained from birth to be powerful life and fire mages.
