- The Variant 24 prototype replaces the safe microfusion cells in the original Mark V with a higher-power output mini-tokamak, which is also used to run its plasma weapons system. Although heavily shielded with 10cm of primium armor reinforced by nanotube laminate, critical damage to this system will cause a localized meltdown, slagging the Variant 24 and anything within its immediate (~15cm) vicinity. Consider a heavily damaged Variant 24 to be a fire hazard.
