Speeds are probably subject to change
Effects
Purger Connectivity
- Some drives that have their own built-in purge system can also use purger stations to decrease the time taken to properly recycle a jump drive. By using such stations the recycle time is halved. This takes up one of the monthly purge 'slots'.
Backtrack
- More sophisticated (read: expensive military drives) can 'backtrack' on their previous jump without recycling their drive beyond a nominal cooldown/reset period of a few hours. The backtracking jump resets the jump cycle. Note that ships may not make multiple Backtrack jumps in a row.
Expanded Buffer
- Advanced drives can overcharge their buffers to perform multiple sequential jumps without needing to recycle between. Like normal jump buffers it needs to be purgers before it can be used again; this purging happens after the normal buffer is purged. This brings added tactical flexibility but has little effect on long-distance travel.
