This lists the combat / exploration gear for the crew of the Athena.

General Use Gear

Standard Mission Pack

• Emergency Medical Kit - Includes an expert system to allow for emergency lifesaving with minimal training.

• Suit Repair Kit - Designed work with a hardsuit computer to allow for field repairs.

Sophie's Stuff

Main Weapons

• Tyrus-Medkova XSR-84 - A lovingly detailed and maintained sniper rifle, with calligraphy beautifully etched into the surface. The rifle is direct fire only - the rounds can do only minor course corrections. This is because of the high amount of acceleration typically employed, which accelerates the round to a relativistic velocity. The weapon includes an ever-cheerful AI system, Zoe, that assists Sophie with adjusting for environmental conditions and provides uplifting comments.
• Namari Military Industries Mk. 96 Particle Carbine - A customized version of a Namari carbine, utilizing a particle beam / slug system like a Kwanese rifle, which trades guidance and stealth for firepower. Can mount an underslung missile launcher or a number of other accessories
• WAW Fabrication Tarantula LXV SMG - A mid-size military hybrid submachine gun, designed to rapidly switch from suppression fire to precise bursts. When not hid by active stealth, the surface displays the Sophie's favorite chapter of the Eldilan Revelations written in elegant calligraphy.
• Tyrus-Medkova XTP-19 - A multiple-role pistol, utilizing two entirely separate systems. The first is a standard military sidearm, but the second is a recent innovation: the Overload dart. Launched at subsonic speed using a sound canceler, the dart scrambles the internal network of a target, allowing for a silent, less-than-lethal takedown.

Note that Sophie carries the pistol with her at all times, and generally 2 of the 3 others. Carrying all of them is possible, but is somewhat awkward.

Armor Suits

• Custom Seeker Armor - Built to exacting specifications, Sophie's main armor suit has an odd, angular profile. The suit incorporates a fullerene grapnel launcher, a full vision suite, top-notch stealth systems, and all of the standard features of an armored suit. The suit is designed to appear as non-hostile to Precursor defense systems, and features a high-output power pack for running tools.

Special Gear

• Hologrenades - A short-lived holographic device that emits in the UV to IR range, with enough radar reflectivity to fool most sensor suites unless a through scan is done.
• ECM Mines - A quick acting device that emits a burst of EM noise on a wide range of frequencies. This provide a short blinding effect.
• Shieldbreakers - A grenade that locks onto a shield frequency and transmits a burst of destructive interference, knocking out the shield.
• Micro-drones - A palm-sized remote sensor platform that can be modified for combat use, such as launching darts or a kamikaze effect.

Satsuki's Loadout

Main Weapons

• WAW Fabrication Black Widow V Shotgun - While the use of shotguns for purposes outside of hunting and door-breaching is limited, there have always been women who want a devastating weapon in the close to medium range. The weapon can fire liquid shotgun rounds, but more commonly uses smart flechettes, which incorporate the same seeking features of a rifle round. This gives lethal accuracy out to medium range, and the ability to eliminate multiple targets at close range.
• Wegener GmbH Landesknecht RMW7-A4 - This Raketemaschinenwerfer or Automatic Missile Launcher is a variant on the standard squad support missile gun from the legendary Wegener company, which has been manufacturing weaponry since the dawn of the Expanse. Carrying shield / armor penetrating missiles as well as thermobaric and smart shrapnel rounds, this
• Viletta Magnum - The ultimate name in heavy pistols, this gun fires a cut down variant on a 25mm payload rifle round. Even the strongest baseline woman would be killed by the recoil from this gun, and most Expanse women cannot use something so extreme without extensive training and strength enhancement. Its power is undisputed, however - this is possibly the only anti-tank pistol ever to be created.

Armor Suit

• Dark Rose Special Operations Suit - A gift from a friendly special ops unit, these represent the latest in armored suits used for covert operations. Top-notch stealth, sensors, and damage protection, along with the other standard armor suit features. Satsuki's suit specifically incorporate specialized tactical software and AI subsystems, along with recoil dampening gauntlets.

Stadler's Stuff

Weapons

• Wrist-mounted Dart Launcher: Fires poisonous armour-piercing shards, that can be tailored to specific biologies on the fly.

• Custom Dart-rifle: A long-range, rifle-sized version of the dart-launcher, with a poison-canister grenade launcher and rapid/burst/single fire.

Armour

• Medic Powered Armour Powered armour with built-in medipac and mindstate storage.

• Glasses: Stadler's glasses. A powerful computer linked to her brain, containing copies of her research, battle programs, and cute Butterfly videos.
