:An elaborate mechanical gauntlet that contains approximately 50 meters of extremely thin copper wire spooled up, the ends of which are mounted on weighed darts that can be launched from the wrist via a compact crossbow. It can be used as a garote or taser, but questionable wiring and thin cable material prevents it from safely being used as a grapnel. This wire connects to a compact battery pack worn on the belt of the wearer. The device is inhabited by one of the least of the Umbrood race known as thunderbirds or storm birds, giving it the power of crackling lightning and storms.

In ages past she was a powerful being that protected humans from disease and parasites and gave them good fortune in exchange for being fed. Pogroms in the Dark Ages against cats led first to the outbreak of the Black Death. With the creation of FIV (blame could easily be laid on the Technocracy, Nephandi or perhaps the Wyrm) and vast programs to 'curb' the cat population by sterilization and euthnasia, her power has waned substantially. Molly most recently had a place of power on the island of Tashirojima, although she is currently homeless.

:'''Medium//''' Shannon inherited the ability to perceive spirits that runs through much of the native side of her family tree, although her perception is less visual than it is aural and olfactory. :'''Spirit Trained 1//''' Being trained by a pattern spirit has given Shannon a slightly distorted sense of her own magic and an unorthodox approach to animist willworking.
:'''Spiritual Duty 1//''' Queen Molly occasionally sends her out on (relatively safe) fetch quests.
:'''The Bard's Tongue//''' The influence of a notoriously glib mentor spirit has given Shannon oracular potential and a serial inability to filter these insights out of her regular conversations.

Brainstorming

Dreadnaught Mantle// 5-point Wonder (Gnosis 7)
A thick wool poncho that has been laboriously knitted to carry a dazzle camo pattern in a three-tone patchwork of cream white, baby blue and midnight blue. The shapes jut out in elaborate vortices of color with no tone touching another of itself save at the corners. Created largely as a timesink while riding the ferries up and down the Atlantic coast, Shannon tried to awaken the hand-woven garment while taking a stop in Halifax. The young and unweathered garment lacked the requisite history to awaken, but she instead drew the spirit of a venerable battleship that had once borne similar colors.
  • Adds (Gnosis/2, round up) to user's soak without penalty, can be bypassed by aiming at legs or head.
  • Aiming at the wearer requires the character pass an opposed roll of Willpower versus the Mantle's Gnosis. A botch leaves the attacker sickened and disoriented.
  • Doubles penalties to be hit for range, poor visibility, fast movement, etc.
  • Ban/ Must be courteous to people of current or former service with any official navy (includes marines).
Bloodhound Limited// 4-point Wonder (Gnosis 6)
A well-maintained sport-grade lever-action carbine chambered for .357 Magnum, the body carved with the name 'BUSTER' in a stylish gothic font and decorated in loose leather straps, faintly evocative of the droopy ears and tail of a bloodhound. The spirit within is that of a hunting dog that has taken up residence inside of the weapon in exchange for other considerations.
  • Adds (Gnosis) dice to hit any target that is wounded or has a distinctive and powerful scent (relative to environment).
  • Can track wounded targets, rolling Gnosis opposed if the target is attempting concealment.
  • Ban/ Always participate in game hunts when invited (and bring me along!)
Bear Mother's Earhat// 3-point Wonder (Gnosis 6)
A comfortable waterproof plush hat sold from a VA-run novelty clothes website circa five years ago and probably popularized by Hot Topic and other corporate geeksploitation stores recently. This particular one is designed to resemble a stylized brown bear, with soft ears and cheery eyes. Despite the childish appearance, the hat has been customized into the vessel of a powerful mother bear spirit, and protects the wearer from harm by swaddling them in a spectral shield. In the umbra, this protection is literally manifest as the bear protecting the wearer with her body.
  • Adds (Gnosis/2) extra health levels that can be regenerated by taking an action to roll Gnosis at a difficulty of 6.
  • Ban/ Protect children, and never allow a child to come to harm through inaction.
Stormhand Spool Gauntlet// 3-point Wonder (Gnosis 6)
An elaborate mechanical gauntlet that contains approximately 50 meters of extremely thin copper wire spooled up, the ends of which are mounted on weighed darts that can be launched from the wrist via a compact crossbow. It can be used as a garote or taser, but questionable wiring and thin cable material prevents it from safely being used as a grapnel. This wire connects to a compact battery pack worn on the belt of the wearer. The rest of the body is decorated heavily in coppery colors and adorned with a large yellow quartz polished smooth in a rock tumbler. The device is inhabited by one of the least of the Umbrood race known as thunderbirds or storm birds, giving it the power of crackling lightning and storms.
  • When called upon, the Stormhand Spool Gauntlet can electrify anything the paired wires are touching, stunning targets, frying electronics or even temporarily providing electrical power to devices. Protects the user from this and electricity (thankfully).
  • Ban/ Never use an umbrella to escape the rain.
Sprayable Astral Primer// 2-point Wonder (Gnosis 4)
A can of custom-blended white spray-paint containing elements of grave ash, crushed seashells and glittering white quartz that creates shallowings between the Umbra and material world on surfaces that it paints, similar to the Astra Tiki. The spirit of travel within the can will only maintains a single passage at once, so the very last contiguous surface painted with the primer counts as the opened location.
  • Reduces the Gauntlet rating by 2 on the contiguous surface sprayed.
Orb Sentinel Smartphone// 3-point Wonder (Gnosis 7)
Shannon's first major foray into working with consumer electronics and created only with the help of a substantially skilled Virtual Adept she met on her travels, the Sentinel Smartphone is a jailbroken smartphone running a custom operating system. Within it resides a young web spider from the Digital Web, often manifesting as a stylized young girl with a few spider-like features and accessories (largely for the sake of not terrifying people who see Shannon's phone) on the large LED touchscreen. The person who helped her make it was probably a huge weaboo.
  • Passively creates a network of digital tripwires with a pool of Gnosis that automatically detects living creatures (and Technocratic constructs), resisted with Wits + Stealth to avoid surveillance.
  • Can 'peek' into the local Digital Web with Gnosis and give a reading of ongoing events.
  • Ban/ Never kill spiders when you meet them, learn how to program and enter the Digital Web within two years.
  • Flaw(s)/ Powers do not work at all in wifi or cell tower deadzones, must be charged about an hour a day to work.
