Paradigm: Summer lives in a world close to the spirit world- he sees fairies in the gardens, nymphs in the woods, and greater spirits. Since his awakening all these have come into sudden clarity, and he has moved from seeing the signs of their presence to seeing how all things are shaped by the actions of the spirits. Summer believes he can do magic by calling upon the spirits that reprsent a given act, be it a spirit of fire to cause fire, or the spirit of a machine to aid the machine.
