Minibio: Awakened during a summer firestorm, the spirit 'Summer Fire' sheltered him and, in the absense of anyone more qualified, taught him how to harness the spiritual powers that were formerly dormant within him. Summer Fire, however strong her maternal instinct is, is a spirit of rebirth first and foremost. Burning away all of Richard Sumner's former life, he was reborn as "Summer", the child of Summer Fire.
