Description

Pythia is a troubled girl. Though slender and attractive, her ragged hair and dark-circled eyes are off-putting. She is constantly nervous, eyes darting about and staring in apprehension at things only she can see. She wrings her hands constantly, or keeps them folded or nestled in her pockets; she is so sensitive about them that she will go nearly catatonic if someone touches or grabs them, or possibly hysterical. Her Taint has exacerbated this, as the creepy nervous girl is even more creepy when she’s stuffing her mouth with clumps of dirt from a graveyard, and even more nervous when she’s starting at invisible ghosts.

Little is known about her history, or who she was before she erupted. Even her followers – a cadre of nihilistic Goths who worship death, and by extension her – know her as nothing more than the incarnation of the Dead. They named her ‘Pythia’, after the Oracle of Delphi, as she didn’t seem to know or have a real name – she adopted it listlessly, and now answers to it.

Pythia’s Quantum power is as deeply unsettling as she is; by imbuing them with Quantum, she is able to give a semblance of life to a corpse, quickening it to movement. Her energies fuel and reinforce its rotting tissue, giving the body tremendous power and total, mindless obedience to Pythia. In addition, her body seems to have taken on an otherworldly quality, allowing her to become as incorporeal and as resilient as a ghost.

Pythia has lately been seen alongside Teragen agents, and it considered to be pursuing an active relationship with them. Few details are available at this time.
