The 21st century is a time of innovations. Discoveries of new forms of energy, of robotics, of augmentation, rediscovery of old knowledge, alchemy, martial arts, magic. New prosperity blooms everywhere. However not everyone is happy. Most of the disaffected pursue normal dreams: political protest, drugs, video games. However those are not for everyone. Some remarkable few choose another path: if one has power and aspirations, why not become a supervillain?
