The process of exploring the galaxy of Ruins begins with the Survey system.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
There are no limits on the number of Surveys you can organize from one year to the next. However, any assets you have assigned to a Survey do not teleport: they will be occupied for at least [x] quarters + travel distance from the nearest friendly port.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
There are three kinds of Surveys, which have different requirements:&lt;br /&gt;
*Grav-Surveys&lt;br /&gt;
*General Exploration&lt;br /&gt;
*Colony Surveys &lt;br /&gt;

They are places of their own industry and economies that can be self sufficient and are thus profitable. A level 2 colony produces 10 +D20 prestige a year. &lt;br /&gt;

::Level three colonies are rare and would be a hypothetical lost city of aliens that you could just move into or abandoned intact colony from somebody else. They would have a 20+D20 prestige roll. &lt;br /&gt;
