: Then trade the remainder you can&amp;#039;t figure out for Charms (1 background point per extra Charm on retainder) or Allies (more Robot Buddies)&lt;br /&gt;

Other Things&lt;br /&gt;
: Perfected Lotus Matrix is good to consider. You can replace up to 4 of your starting charms with martial arts, and being able to learn martial arts gives you one interesting path of advancement if you don&amp;#039;t have vats access. It depends what you want.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Experience&lt;br /&gt;
: You&amp;#039;ll probably end up starting with way more charms than you need and just need to buy slots for them. That&amp;#039;s intentional. Means you just need to spend 4 XP a slot gradually increasing your repertoire.&lt;br /&gt;
: Other good things to buy up later-War and Melee (to 4-5).&lt;br /&gt;

Charm Recommendations&lt;br /&gt;
: Alchemical Social Charms (Perfected Union Patterning/etc) are good for aligning groups that already like you to like you more. You&amp;#039;re a Aztec-Communist champion of the people!&lt;br /&gt;
: Alloyed Reinforcement of Flesh/Essence Shield Projector/Etc. are all good defensive charms. Transitory Invulnerability Engine is also something to possibly work towards.&lt;br /&gt;
: Industrial Survival Frame (Crystal) stops people from punching you and then turning you into a duck. All critical purchases.&lt;br /&gt;
: Manifold Transhuman Implants (or just buy mutations straight). Alchemicals get to play with their transhuman nature a lot and we know you like that kind of thing.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
