The habitable area is bisected roughly east-west by a large mountain range that splits in two at the eastern edge of the continent, forming a large, roughly triangular plateau between two smaller ranges. Both the north and the south boast arcologies, with the south being more or less loyal to the current government, and the north - formerly the Federal Republic of Albion - rather more restive.
