 The 'Lynx' is a heavily armed light scout, intended to be capable of threatening main battle tanks yet still move fast enough to be able to easily outmaneuver the enemy. To achieve the second goal, its armor had to be reduced to the point where the vehicle was only provided protection proof against small arms fire and shell fragments. Having fought on both Novaya Zemlya and Albion, the Lynx proved to be a poor vehicle in heated engagements, but was found to be a decent scouts or skirmisher. An unpopular vehicle with its crews, it was quickly replaced by more advanced designs and sold to practically anyone at low prices. The six-wheeled Lynx is a relatively common sight in the armies of EU client worlds due to its reliability and low cost, but it is almost never a popular vehicle to crew.
