Her boundless enthusiasm for knowledge was an inspiration to him, and he helped her through some challenging financial times. Her rapid progress through the Ph. D program had been helped by her Nova gifts, and the two of them studied together. That was when the accident occurred. A temporal stabilizer detonated, and bathed the two of them in tachyonic emissions. Zach grew more capable of resisting radiation and other hazards, while Hanna &#039;&#039;changed&#039;&#039;. She can naturally alter time in her vicinity, but she continually emits a soft glowing light and must use her powers to appear her chronological age. Otherwise, she regresses to a primary school girl. This has basically destoryed her academic career, but fortunately she managed to develop a cover story as Hanna Fortin, recently erupted niece of the eccentric inventor Zach McAllister.
