• Family names are Chinese, Indian, Russian or Western for natural descendants. Pod descendants will have a natural family name or be named for some highly regarded person, thing or quality.
• Pre-colonial history is extremely abbreviated in compulsory education. Most Minks will have only the vaguest pop-culture understanding of anything other than the space race and the history of the longshots. Presently arguments are being had over how the new standard texts will treat the Zodiac War.
