Fire-casters form bulk of the Army of the Republic. Heavily armed and armored, these soldiers operate as individual formations and are designed attack the enemy at long range.

Elite soldiers of the Republic, Lightblades are essentially heavier variants of Fire-casters. Unlike Fire-casters, they are effective melee and magical units as well. While capable of being used in conjunction with other troops, they are primarily used for special operations.

Loki Company: Scout Strider (150G, 150M, 100A; Upkeep 10G, 15M)

The treacherous territory that comprises the heart of the Republic made horse-based cavalry impractical. As soon as strider technology came to Avalon, military planners and designers quickly came together to design a general-purpose support design able to provide both mobility and firepower. The Loki scout strider is designed to counter potential cavalry movements and prevent tactical encirclement. The Loki itself is a compromise between firepower, mobility and protection, with emphasis on the latter two aspects. A heavier version of the Loki is currently in development.

Odin Guard

Especially talented Avalonians, especially those with greater concentrations of divine blood are recruited directly into the Odin Company where they undergo intensive training and are instilled with an instinctive respect for the ideals and laws of the Republic. Rarely found on the front lines, Odin Paragons are technically employed as part of the Royal Guard, defending the Camelot, the Avalonian Imperial Palace. In practice, the Odin company are detached as necessary for any operation acting as special operations forces.
