Etheric Inspired and Wondrous Creations

A Genius is a Magitechnical creator of wondrous devices, most times beyond the capabilities of the nation she is part of. Her creations follow magical laws and rules, but otherwise break established laws for technology. Creations can take any form, and the rules for GtT work well enough for determining the type of device created. (Replace Mania with Etheric Power from the creator of said devices or a Etheric Heart. Or from generators Etheric Generators – although technological generators fail due to the primarily magical creations. Early tech generators can work, but rarely create enough power for a minor device. (Lower tech, less power possible.) Generally these generators require creation by a genius or a modified human as a generator and operator.

A combinion of the birth of magic event, and the solar storms that plague the system keeps implanting into various scientists 'mania', or the spark that allows them to produce wonderous creations. Once they manifest, they however can do whatever they want within the advancement groupings the character has. It is much easier to build wonders and supply them (as all wonders are universally supplied with Ether in various forms. The hardest bit is supplying a wonder with the right type of Ether in the wrong setting for that type. At worst however, either the usage period of a device will be limited by etheric supplies or the device may fail catastrophically as it lacks the mundane technology to function in it's intended role for some reason. The explosive nature of the second action depends on what the genius tried to do – both mundane and technomagically.
