The Amaranth Empire is a Belkar successor state founded the twelve old families of the aristocratic and military-dominated planetoid of Old Amaranth and lead by the boy emperor Claudius Corin-Amaranthi, a young monarch whose father claimed distant but not infallible descent from from the Corin dynasty. The country is built upon ailing industry and has mostly outdated ships, but has strong military tradition and a reputation and prestige as a center for military scholarship.
